As I found out that there were not many ASCII pictures made for the Amstrad CPC (in contrast to the PC, C64, etc.) I decided to make some on my own.
Not that special, but a first step I think...

Cool ! I love ascii art!
What tool did you use to make these images?

logiker

I adapted something existing for my own needs. It will be released tomorrow as Wild entry at the Shadow Party, which just takes place this weekend starting some hours ago.
I'll keep you updated :-)

Yes, this is a great demo.
I saw it already when doing my initial research.
The editor which I think was used though supports only black and white, no colours, no full resolution, no additional modes and no control characters.
All in all there aren't many similar releases, right?

Yes @logiker you are correct - aside from a few ASCII animations the only other slideshow I have found is this:

And all are Mode 2.

All non in-game graphics and also the intro in Dragon Attack were done using ascii. Also the logo in the menu of Corsair Trainer is done in ascii.

Yes, this release (Les Fichiers Ascii) reminds me of printouts we did on endless paper in the last century :-)

Ah, good to know. Would have been hard to find otherwise. Thanks!

That's great, I can't wait to try your tool to make something. I've seen on the Shadow party stream an announcement for an Amstrad ASCII compo I think?

logiker

Yes, the tool was presented at the Shadow Party yesterday.
You can find all information in the link above.
If something is not clear, feel free to contact me or just ask somewhere here.

Oh, I just read about the tool, but not about the compo.
Yes, the compo was announced there...
Now you can follow this thread:

In order to show that all 3 graphic modes are possible I created three Amstrad ASCII pictures.
Hoping that motivates you and that maybe you take part at the 1st Amstrad ASCII compo.
