is there any dos based cpc emulator and if so whats the best to use
I don't know if CPCE is the best but it is the most recent updated.

I like the fact that it was possible to use it like a real CPC (using real floppies) and don't get border for playing games in bigger.
But it was discontinue for WinAPE.
Looks like CPCE is the only CPC emulator for DOS that's still updated from time to time:

Of course the question is, why? :) Do you have an old PC running retro stuff?
The only interest that I see to use a DOS emulator today was to make a dedicated CPC replacement by booting directly on it. It's why RWCPC was great by managing real floppy support.
yeah i have an old Pentium 4 which i have DOS and a lot of DOS emulators on.
I love using DOS, but then again i would as my first PC was a Compaq 486 and i loved every bit of it.
