Please, could you give me name of CDT famous for crashing emulators ?

Following another discussion about tape loaders on this forum, there are some games listed on CPC-POWER with the keyword 'Baudload', which use specialised tape loaders that some emulators can't handle correctly:

Look at Breaking Baud - that's obviously the best!

BTW, I'm not sure about "famous for crashing emulators", but WinCPC fails to handle direct recording blocks (type 0x15). I emailed Flynn back in 2011 and again in 2013 (when I started work on Breaking Baud) and neither time got a reply. Whilst the direct recording block would have been the most efficient way to store the CDT for Breaking Baud (talking about file size, not runtime performance), I decided to use a different block type instead so it'd work on all the emulators.

Under Caprice Forever, i can tell you some with not a that nasty protection makes it crash.


Try games like Red Arrows, Dragontorc, Werner mach hin, some ariolasoft tape games like vermeer or they stole a million; puffy's saga, all the operasoft games like livingstone supongo, cosa nostra, guillermo tell, mot, sirwood, etc etc etc


There are quite a number of games.

I just have left release 0.30 of Caprice Forever at CPC-Power.

Most of protected CDT are loading correctly : Birdie, Blood Brothers, Bomb Scare, City Slicker, Imagination, Marmelade, Revision 2014, The Last Mission, Samurai Warrior, Viaje Al Centro Della Tierra, and many others taken from "BaudLoad" nasty list at CPC-Power.

I will check at once the one you have listed : Dragontorc, Werner mach Hin, Vermeer, Guillermo Tell (maybe the same as Mike Gunner)...
