Hi All,
Thankyou to JMD I now have the CPC464 French OS roms.
But now I am looking for more.
According to soft968 the official language variants are:
Spanish, French and Danish.

On the cpczone forums I did not believe that the Danish roms were official, but now I hold my hands up and I have been corrected by official documentation.

There is a unofficial Danish rom on the NVG FTP site, so this confused me to the fact if there was official or not.

So now, if anyone has the Danish roms, would they be willing to dump them to tape/disc? If you need help please send me a private message.

Thanks. I will be uploading the roms to urusergi ftp site, so we can all share them.

There should be a Norwegian ROM as well, even though I have never seen it.

The clue is in the Norwegian translation of Tasword 464-D, that includes keyboard layouts for both standard and Norwegian ROM's. Tasword was translated by "Kellydata" for the official Norwegian Amstrad distributor "Informasjonssystemer". I used to work at an Amstrad dealer in Tromsø, Norway, and I remember there were some talk about a Norwegian ROM.

My Danish amstrad 6128 straight from the attic.
If the machine work i will dump the roms.
I don't think there was a Danish cpc 464 or 664

Hi Johnny

There was a Danish CPC 464. I clearly remember that the boy next door had a 464 with the 'new' flat keys, and the Danish letters on the keyboard! As I myself had the original 464 with tall keys and the English rom,  I had to load a program to use Danish letters. But I have no idea how to get hold of a Danish 464 nor a rom dump!

Hi Ygdrazil

Ok, then they must exist.
I have seen 4-5 flat key 464 but always with the English rom.
I remember the tall keys 464 I own one back then.
He he i had that program to, what a mess.

mr_lou

I have a danish CPC464 with danish keys. I have no idea how to dump the rom though.

Ygdrazil

Aha!  ;)

Can you transfer files from the 464 to a PC?

If so, I will send you a small basic program to type in and the roms will be dumped!

Ygdrazil

Great stuff..

Seeing the Danish characterset in action, once again after many years! (Well if youre Danish i guess)!

/Ygdrazil

Yes, but I don't have a danish CPC6128. Will have to wait for Johnny Olsen to check out his CPC6128 from the attic, if it still works. Then maybe he can dump the rom for you.

Razorblade

I've attached the dump of my Spanish CPC 464 firmware. ;D

It's nice to see the ñÑ key, and the obsolete currency Pt symbol (now we use €).

Ah yes, the currency symbol! The pound key (£) always mystified me on my 464/6128! :)

I had finaly dump my Amstrad 6128 Danish firmware rom.

The Files
----------
1. 6128-BasicDanish.rom
1. 6128-LowerDanish.rom
2. 6130-LowerDanish z key Corrected.rom

6128-LowerDanish.rom is the original rom but for some reason the z key
was moved one pixel up, therefore i had made a rom where i had corrected
the faulty z and name it  "6130-LowerDanish z key Corrected.rom"

I don't think there are any difference between the Danish and English basic ROM

Thanks for the dump!

Could you tell us the part number of that ROM by any chance? (it should be something like "Amstrad 400??" marked on top of the chip)

Johnny Olsen

I had removed the rom and replaced it with a piggybacked CPC464 and cpc6128 roms so I had 2 machines in one.

I'm not sure but i think this is the rom.

Hello from a (kinda) new user.

Grim

AMI 8545KDU AMSTRAWHAT THE #$?! It seems we barely escaped a part number written in Norse runes! :D

TFM

That's not the part number, it was written on the ROM (therefore also Austria). I assume that it maybe even haven't had a part number. At least the picture of the ROM look like.
