Title: Screen tearing on WinAPE at 50Hz - Vsync?
Post by: Foebane72 on 12:36, 23 February 17
I use WinAPE (the latest version, I believe) on my monitor at 50Hz refresh rate, but I have this nasty tear on-screen that usually lingers on the same spot for seconds at a time, and looks quite unpleasant.

Can Nvidia drivers be used to Vsync the emulator, or is there no way to fix it? I see reference to this "frame flyback", but there's no option to vsync it.

Advice, please?

Since no-one's responded all day, I'm assuming nothing can be done? At least at 60Hz the tearing is all over the screen, which is not as bad as just one spot.

PROBLEM SOLVED!

I read somewhere that Windows 7's Aero has built-in Vsync, and once I set WinAPE to a window, the vsync issues disappeared.
