Richard, better concentrate on other things! (like network support ) 128GB (gigabytes) is enough for everyone!
2TB is the maximum at all, as SymbOS is designed for handling 32bit sector numbers (=(2^32)*512=2 199 023 255 552 bytes). This amount of memory is too much for any Z80 system

I agree, but if you happen to have a partition or iso larger than 128GB that you want to use, it would be nice to be able to do so.

I didn't even know it existed until you mentioned it here. I'll look at implementing LBA-48 but only up to 2TB for now.

This is great news! It would be awesome to see that wonderful WinApe can emulate the X-MASS (=CPC-IDE, =SF2 IDE part) completely. There is still a lot of bits and pieces to include to the emulation. 


IMHO there is no sense to waste time to emulate hardware which actually doesn't exit.
