I had many many games for my Amstrad, but one sticks in my memory. Not because it was particularly good, but in fact, so hard, I could not figure out how to get past the first screen.

The game was called Cheops and took place in Egypt, possibly inside a pyramid.

Ring any bells with anyone? I've never found it for download and I threw out my original tapes about 5 years ago. I'd love to have another go at it. I also seem to remember it requiring some password via the game manual... That's probably not going to help....

You can buy it here: Cheops by No Man's Land from Retrogames - Vintage Video Games and Retro Gaming

Bryce.

Edit: Just realised that he doesn't have it in stock at the moment. I'm sure it downloadable somewhere. Which language do you need?

Wolfy2k4

English would be ideal. But yes, it's proving rather tricky to track down. I'd prefer to just find a downloadable version if possible as I no longer have the equipment to create images from the tapes.  >:(
I've looked on that site you linked before, a year or so ago in fact, it was still out of stock then. But thanks for trying anyway :)

The French version can be found here: Crackers Velus - Amstrad CPC

The English version was probably on CPC-Power, but that's offline at the moment. Maybe when it comes back you'll find it there.

MacDeath

Yeay, This f*****ing hacker destroying CPC-Power really killed us all.

I wish he could drown and sink into his miserable sh***tiness or get hemoroid grapes.

Wolfy2k4

Bryce and dcdrac, I could kiss you! That's exactly what I was looking for. Now to see if I can play it! Thanks very much. :)

And MacDeath, if we find that hacker, get in line behind me for the ass-kicking eh?
