Too me his comment sounds like the typical joke you would hear from funny Spectrum user that are making friendly jokes about the Amstrad over at Retro Gamer. As many  CPC users have found out it is not so funny after the tenth time hearing it. Combining this joke with a French frogalot joke must make a British Spectrum fanboy very happy

Wow, that was a rather good documentary. It's a shame it didn't show the CPC (and I could have done without the usual crap anti-CPC "jokes" that aren't jokes) but other than that, it was very good.

They should be happy that Amstrad bought Sinclair and produced "their" machines​​.
But, maybe, if Sinclair had gone bankrupt, this crappy Porting would also have stopped...

I wonder how the CPC would have done if the death of Sinclair had meant the end of production of the Spectrum. The end of CPC to or would the z80 programmers produced a lot more quality code for the CPC

Amstrad bought up Sinclair the year before the Amiga launched, so I have to wonder how many Speccy coders would have taken a look at how the market was going in the year or two after Spectrums stopped production and made a decision to jump to the 16-bit market rather than move over to another 8-bit and see how long they could last there.

The Amiga had almost no software for years. It didn't start moving before some time after the Amiga 500 release, 1989?

True, but without a low cost option from the Spectrum available, the 16-bit era may have kicked off earlier. The Amiga was probably still too expensive, but the ST may have cemented a much stronger lead position.

Or everyone might have gone with the C64 instead.

This is pretty much what I was getting at, yes. What are parents more likely to do if a Spectrum isn't available any more, buy a different computer for Little Johnny's Christmas/birthday, or just not get a computer? The former is more likely.

There's a button for YouTube? I always just type [ youtube ]... 

There should be a Button for it where the Arrow points to.
But it didnt show up in my Firefox 44.0.2 (Linux); cache cleaned, forced reload. No button.
In reqkonq it is shown, also in Konqueror.

Maybe the stylesheet-settings of the Plugin are not loaded(?)

Close to the end, it is said that Infogrames never used the Ocean brand for selling games... It is false.
I have worked on Hexplore for Infogrames in 1998, and it was published as an Ocean game.

Yeah, GT Racing 97 by Blue Sphere (who also made the Taxi 2 racing game based on the French film) was also published under the Ocean name.

I had problems recently with Firefox 44.0.2 not displaying everything it should. The solution was to uninstall Firefox, delete the Mozilla sub-directory in Users\Bryce\AppData\Roaming (and any other Mozilla directories you find under Users) and C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox, then do a fresh install. Firefox uninstall leaves an aweful lot of rubbish on the drive and in the registry when it's uninstalled, evident by the fact that a supposed "clean install" has still retained all your bookmarks and settings.

Don't forget to back up your Bookmarks before you do this "proper clean install", otherwise they're gone.
