Oooh, looks interesting!

Reminds me of Codename Mat, which in my opinion is a VERY GOOD THING!

Will it require Future OS? Or will be be runnable on a plain CPC464 or CPC6128?

I looked it up at yt. Yes, the shots of the spectrum version are a bit similar. Well, the "enemies" will be ... let's say "something unexpected".

All three? So.... it'll run on my CPC464, but I have to load FutureOS first?

No. FutureOS needs a 6128, the 464 can't use RAM configuration &C3. So in principle FutureOS does run on a 464, but the mouse arrow will leave a smear on the screen (due to the lack of &C3). Also 64 KB of RAM is not much (FutureOS can run with using only 2 KB of RAM though).

I'm currently developping under FutureOS, but the final game will run on a pure 464 too. However you will be able to order a tape or a disc version. On the tape you get the 464 version. And on disc you get the version for 464 and for 6128 on one side of the disc. And you get the version for 6128 and FutureOS on the other side of the same disc. Since the 6128 has more RAM it will probably get additional features. Also the FutureOS version may be a bit more quick than the version for the native CPC-OS. Depending on the differences of both OS there may be additional smaller differences. I can't tell now honestly, it's to early.

It's planned to release the CPC and the PC version of the game in the same box :D

PC version? You mean Windows version probably, or are you compiling for both Linux and Windoze?

Sorry, right. As I know only Windows. I'm not doing anything for the PC version. (Actually it already exists since some time). The software house cares about anything PC related.

I only do the CPC conversion. But after a long time it will be an official release for the CPC!!!

So I try to make it as good as possible. 3D makes usually everything slow, but one can work around. At the moment I'm pleased with the framerate, but as soon as the enemies are added the framerate will probably completely drop to 25 fps. Still good for CPC.

I hope to be able to pack as much into the 64 KB verison for the CPC464 as possible, but 64 KB is just not much, especially when you are forced to use double buffering (and you do need that for 3 D games). So 32 KB screen RAM and 32 for the game itself is not much. On the other hand GFX aren't using up sooooo much RAM as for PCs. So it should work out  :)

I'm actually curious who this kind of 3D games is called? It's not vector graphics, because it used no lines. And it's not filled vectors either, since no gfx is placed on surfaces? Any ideas?
