Since the decline of the Amstrad CPC, post commercial life has gone from strength to strength. The Amstrad CPC community is now at its strongest since the 1980s. Hundreds of games have been released for the Amstrad CPC over the last decade and just in 2020 alone, over fifty games were released. But which of these games are the best? Join me as we look at the top 40 new games for the Amstrad CPC!

Nice list.

Glad to see Orion Prime at the top. Great game.

Thank you so much for this.

I came back to the CPC just a year ago and although I recognised that there is a nice scene I didn't recognise that so many games are so fantastic and of such high quality.

I see lots of people that come back to the CPC after 30 years and they probably (like me) could benefit a lot from overviews like this one.

Exactly why I did this. I noticed there's no real CPC database for new games other than CPC Power, but this isn't complete. Indie Retro News is my go-to resource for Amstrad CPC, but it needed something visual and captured all in one session. I will take a look at the Plus next if there's enough interest from this video. Thanks for the kind words.

Homebrew Amstrad Today has a large selection of modern CPC games and the owner of the site has designed his own covers for the games - although it's not a complete list either.

It was when I visited that site and couldn't find all of the best new games that I thought "sod it, I'm doing a video".

Thanks for the video, it's a nice mix between "The forgotten good ones", "I don't like them, but everybody makes a god out of it" and "Shit Game Time". You went back quite some years, it's hard to take all of the good games into account.
