Have fun with it.

This is a neat game and reminds me of Asphalt and of a game I tried to make some years ago.
Really like the fire animation by the way. Helps make each kill feel satisfying. :)

It's a kind of sequel of Asphalt and there's a big gesture about it somewhere in the game :D
December is going to be a great CPC Christmas month for me. :)
Because I've focused all of my time creating 8-bit Memoirs, everything else has been put on hold. This has resulted in a massive queue of interesting new CPC games for me to play during December. It's gonna be awesome! 8)
I'm reminded of this every time someone posts about a game they've created. :D
Please notice that this version is 100% xmass compatible !!!
It Runs under iMPdos too !!!!
Thanks to Arnaud to asked me to do bitume ´s loader!
Last words: using IMPdraw is not too difficult!
Really nice work! :-* Worthy sequel for a game that simply transpires CPC.

Hi @Arnaud (http://www.cpcwiki.eu/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=1424)
I made a mass storage version of bitume last version (with overscan)
I only had to remove the code of erasing the screen before execute the game, I run out of space without interfere with the game code, hence the little corruption after the overscan screen and the game...
I'm playing my version and it appears to work well
Mind you if we upload this version too?
P.S. very good game!!!

Hi
I enter on an endless loop with red car on the sea level, 2 yellow buggies tried to overtake me and i didn't allow them to by running at the same speed.
Then one of the buggies finally pass me and left the road to the right, and i kill the oter buggie... since then nobody appears on the road, 10 minuts by now!
ok2
Again reproduced the bug! this was on the level 3, i let the first buggy overtake me and let it go away to the right... again, nobody appears on the road since then..
ok3
this time with orginal version (with overscan), no m4, only the cpc6128, the same, on level 3 if you let the buggy overtake you and let it go away to the right... endeless loop

Sorry but I don't really understand what's the problem with the erasing screen?
Bitume runs perfectly on xmass (with impdos)

Well this version is not yet bug free ::)
Ii'll take a look, thanks for reporting @Joseman (http://www.cpcwiki.eu/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=135)
Arnaud.

the overscan version only active amsdos, just for this it doesnt' work on m4/xmass
and it use #A000 - #A038, that, in my opinion, can be a problem if a lot of roms are loaded...

Concerning the xmass, activing the rom 7 is not a problem with iMPdos... :p
iMPdos detects if the game is launched from a disc or from xmass...
Concerning, the roms installed, it' s not really a problem (concerning adress you spoke about)
Great work for the M4 version!!!

What is the more safe address in the range #A000-#A600 for amsdos, and ... about 10 roms more or less?
I'm not sure, then i take the entire range...
@Joseman (http://www.cpcwiki.eu/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=135) : to see where AmsDos starts :

?hex$(peek(&be7E))+hex$(peek(&be7d))
That's all ! :P

I would use a basic loader and check HIMEM. This will be automatically adjusted for more roms.
Then compare that against the max address you use and report an error if HIMEM is too low.
Then you will always know when it's safe to load or not.

Ok Ok, but there isn't correct only test amsdos! maybe it doesn't matter to impdos, but for M4 and any rom that replaces the amsdos calls, if its enviroments are corrupted or only amsdos is reloaded they won't work!!!

it's a good idea, but throw and error and not execute the game is less nice than preserve #Axxx-#BFFF till the last minute where you ldir this memory and execute the game!!
Not always is possible, but we always can take liberties like remove some code (like erase screen on bitume), compress code, or if there isn't another solution use the second bank!
Yellow Buggies bug corrected, new version build (005) with help of @Ast (http://www.cpcwiki.eu/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=573), added in first post.
Really hope it's the last bug ::)
New version (build 006) with a new loading screen by @Kukulcan (http://www.cpcwiki.eu/forum/profile/?u=450) and CED added in first post.
Well done Bruno, a very nice picture indeed.
