I'm pretty sure I played a game on my Amstrad where the spaceship was called the Interloper and the basic premise was being on some kind of alien world, in a 3rd person type shooter / strategy. Can anyone remeber the name of this game?
Isometric? Side scroller? Vertical scroller?
you're not thinking of Space Crusade?
Top-down view in 2D. Not a scroller as such. Not Space Crusade.

Laser Squad? Rebelstar? Inside outing?
Alas, none of those either. I'm 99% sure it was CPC but there's a 1% chance it was Amiga. The only other recollection I have was that the player was on an alien planet and you could go into buildings etc (I recall one of them was a bar or canteen or something). I would have been about 10 years old at the time and I remember the game being way too hard/complex for me. There was some intereaction with NPCs as I recall but they ended up killing me quickly. I am reasonably certain the spaceship (which might have crash landed on the planet) was called the Interloper.
Oh wow - just after I posted - in a flash of inspiration and a lucky google search it came to me: Megatraveller (or Megatraveller 2 perhaps).
Hi everyone!
Please help me find a game: All I can remember is that it was a shooter game with an underground, maybe subway or metro scenery, but not the Metro series, its far older, and you had teammates and plenty of weapons and you could even send a rat with a camera to scout the terrain...
That was vector GFX, right?
Does anybody know the name of a game where i think you are a clown and you are walking around a train track or rollercoaster, it's a single screen per level game. Has very catchy music and quite a good game.
Sounds like Kong Strikes Back.

Wow, never saw this thread, I will repost a game that I can't remember.
It was poor man's elite and written in Basic because you could break and list.
Graphics were very simple but did the job, I remember the hud was good.
There were fights with lasers and torpedos, I think.
It was in Greek, but really don't know if it was a Greek title or translated.
The name might be cosmos, but I'm not sure.
Unfortunately, a friend took that disk and never returned it.
It could be Fighter Command (https://www.cpc-power.com/index.php?page=detail&num=2520) from Cascade's compilation of 50 games?
Or more likely a type-in.
Nop, it had a wider field of view but thanks :)
This one was a french type-in, and it's got a cool HUD!

Close enough, different palette.

Mr Do's Wild Ride is the original arcade game it's based on (where you are a clown).
