I wondered if there are any other Scramble type games on the 464. The only one I can think of is Killer Cobra. Which I personally think is a top game , although a bit on the speedy side. Has anybody ever considered using the engine of this , to make a more comparable version of Scramble or Super Cobra? It looks as if it is a great base to work from to develop off. Or is it not as straight forward as that?

Do you need music for your Amstrad CPC game project?
Take a look at IndieGameMusic.com - that's where I put my tracks.

We missed one, with ASCrambleII...
An ASCII based version in Interlaced MODE 2 (512x384!!!!!!!) with flickering, to match like the Vectrex one!
I hope that it will be back in a future contest...  ;D

One curiosity about Killer Cobra, i always questioned me who was the person after the "Peter Wiseman" pseudonym, author of it and Doodle Bug and Wriggler, other great arcade conversions for CPC of Lady Bug and Centipede.

Until a few weeks ago, i discovered in the original Killer Cobra tape this message (and sent to CPC-Power):
Quote** Hi there hackers! Richard here (I wrote Fly Spy!!) **
This should be very simple to hack!
Have fun...
(If you want to start on any level, try holding down:.CTRL+SHIFT+JOYSTICK UP+FIRE ..
give me a credit if you send.it off to a mag!!
(if that's you, RpM, ta for the flyspy comments!)...

Yes, "Peter Wiseman" is Richard Aplin, i always suspect of him, because those 3 games are really good CPC games. I have sent him a message, for he can give more information about the reason to use a pseudonym, but i have not get an answer yet.

I took a better look to Doodle Bug and Wriggler, but  the only in the last one i have found a hidden mesage and only in the Blabby Computers tape, it looks that Players deleted all the hidden messages that Richard loved to add. Ah!, yes :P , the message in Wriggler is:
QuoteWhat are you doing looking at this      program anyway ?
This is supposed to be protected.
Go out and buy the thing if you think it's worth the bother Pirating.
It only costs 1.99

Ok, SyX explained the thing to me. Looking forward to play it!

Same here. I wonder if it'd add any interest if you could choose among different character sets... just an idea!
