Is possible to make CPR version of Xyphoes Fantasy and Space Gun?

Sadly, these games require 2 sides on floppy disc and 128k RAM. Lot lot of work for these one to work on a cartridge with only 64k RAM.

And what about 128kB version? Actually I have 6128 plus, so no problem for me with 128kB requirement.

Yes, but here you are on a topic called "Converted GX4000.cpr The topic". So unless a solution is found to simply upgrade the GX4000 from 64Kb to 128Kb, the conversions have to work before everything on a stock GX4000  ;)

I may have asked this before, but would it be worth making an additional section for 128K support for those with Plus machines or GX machines with additional RAM? As an owner of both, I for one would definitely be interested.
Or is it a case of not enough demand?
Currently playing on: 2xCPC464, 1xCPC6128, 1x464Plus, 1x6128Plus, 2xGX4000. M4 board, ZMem 1MB and still forever playing Bruce Lee.
No cheats, snapshots or emulation. I play my games as they're intended to be played. What about you?

Indeed, demand is really small. I'm not sure people that have modded their GX4000 are more than needed to be counted on the 10 fingers of the hands. It would be more effective that someone competent enough starts adapting these games to cartridge so that they work on a stock GX4000 by loading the data on the fly.
But on time or another the question will be really here and maybe some 128k only games could pop. But I'm not sure anybody planned this for now. If only a good expansion could rise with just the need to replace the chips by sockets to plug it, it would be wonderful for everyone.

As much as I would love to see the 128K games too I can understand that it's not the focus. However your collection has advantages way beyond the typical GX4000 users - even if its not "marketed" like that but this is THE best collection for an emulation console, as you finally can handle CPC games as easy as NES or SMS ROMs. No more need to type in any commands or press keys on a keyboard during gameplay. In general the 2 button games are SO much more convenient to play. And for emulation the 64K limit is not important.

Actually I'm considering to write a CPR to DSK converter just to get the DSK images back from the CPR ;-) so I can use the patched versions on a normal CPC without C4CPC.

@remax insisted that I stop integrating DSKs into the archives. And he's right in truth, this topic is dedicated to the GX4000, just like the list of patched games for download.
In any case, regarding the games that we patched with Urusergi, if you want I can provide you a package containing all the DSKs, it would be simpler, isn't it? 8)

Just a precision : I'm against it on the GX4000 conversion page on the wiki, and if possible but less mandatory, on this topic.

I have absolutely no problem with someone making its own sister page on the wiki and its own topic that he would manage as he wish.

Oh absolutely, I don't mean for the 128k conversions to hijack this section.

Just a separate section for requests for those interested was all. :)

We eared you the first time :D . I'm looking for this one. But there are lot of functions and numbers to press to make selections. Not sure it will be possible to apply everything to a 2-button joypad. Wait and see  8)

Ok, for this week-end, an hidden gem very well known on Atari 8 bits, thanks as usual to the fantastic work of @Urusergi :

STORM from Mastertronic

Controls:
Agravain undead (player 1)
J1 LEFT = Turn left
J1 RIGHT = Turn right
J1 UP = Move on
J1 DOWN = Use a scroll
J1B1 = Fire
J1B2 = Use a mask

Storm (player 2)
J2 LEFT = Turn left
J2 RIGHT = Turn right
J2 UP = Move on
J2B1 = Fire
J2B2 = Fire amulet

And don't ask why you can play the hero of this game only as player 2, there is the same flaw in all versions on different systems.

Modifications for the GX4000 version:
    - New title screen in mode 1 based on the Spectrum one by iXien displaying 10 colours.
    - Wait for fire on title screen,
    - Patched keys,
    - Joystick as default controls,
    - Pokes: Unlimited energy.

Actually some CPRs here have both 64k and 128k versions of some games.
But to not begin some quarrel about this here I started new topic about 128k versions/games here:

All is required is that the game works on a stock GX4000. And that the case of every game in the list. After that, it's even better if the game offers more features to the guys that installed more RAM. So there is no debate here ;) .

But there are other games that require 128K in DSK in any case. For these ones, a conversion that would really take part of the cartridge capabilities to work on all Plus systems, including a stock GX4000, would be a far smarter solution than expecting a 64Kb expansion for everyone that will maybe never come. Because in fact, every 128K games can work with less than 64Kb if we can use data on-the-fly from a cartridge. If you take the case of LA ABADIA DEL CRIMEN, it's wonderful if you play on a 464/6128PLUS system to be able to save on a disc or tape. But with the fantastic work of dragon, you can enjoy all the features of the 128Kb version and save game in the RAM, making this game playable on a stock GX4000 with all features.

About this new thread, that is a very good idea ;)

Hi, there is a very simple upgrade described there : https://www.cpcwiki.eu/index.php/128k_on_GX-4000
I did it to mine and also to a friend, it works great.

By the way I see no one spoke about, it's not really a true conversion so I won't post the file, but interesting recent release "The Key" works pretty well on the GX doing a simple format convertion dsk => cpr. I made a cart of it and finished it (it is quite short, it is the 1st part), I never expected such kind of adventure game on the GX.

Now imagine connecting an AMX Mouse and being able to move the cursor. Which of course is impossible.

Just use the joystick port to plug in the AMX mouse (and to make it perfect add one diode for 3rd button inside the GX4000).

The problem with this one is the save system. I understand you consider it is very simple, but this may not be the case for everyone and it is a feature that the game offers. However, this feature will not work on GX4000, of course. So if we only want to offer clean patches, we cannot offer the game as is in the list.

Ok, this time an upgrade for a fabulous game, with the help of @Urusergi  8) :

BATMAN THE CAPED CRUSADER from Ocean

Controls:
J1LEFT/RIGHT = Walk left/right
J1UP = Face back / Climb (walk through a door behind you)
J1DOWN = Face front / Climb (walk through a door in front of you)
J1B1 + DOWN = Pickup object / Enter utility screen
J1B1 + LEFT/RIGHT = punch
J1B1 + UPPER LEFT/RIGHT = flying kicks

Modifications for this GX4000 version:
    - Wait for fire on title screen
    - Another version including a new title screen from STE86
    - Part selection now after the title screen
    - Poke : Invulnerability

This new version brings back the original title screen, but also a new one from STE86 in mode 0. In addition, the title screen appears at launch and after chosing which part of the game you want to play.

Have a nice week-end on your GX4000  ;)

Yeah, there are other "AAA" games to upgrade or patch for the first time on GX4000. But lot of "little" games from Mastertronic, Amsoft, Codemasters or other budget publishers deserve a conversion. Some of them are what makes the real difference between console and computer games. Little games sometimes offering big ideas in terms of gameplay. And it's nice to rediscover them... on a console 8)
