It would be a shame to do a random hack when we can contact the developers to make a clean adaptation... 8)  What a great news!!!

It's been a while since I was last on, here is another game for the collection.

Everyone's a Wally - Meet The Gang

The game is now Joystick only.

I made the Trainer Left for Yes, Right for No, I've done this so you can plug a normal joystick into port one to play the game if you wish, I did this as it might help on the following sections of the game.

Arcade sequences

In a chase sequence operate the left and right controls alternately, The faster you do it, the faster you go.

The game now has the following controls....

Joystick / Joypad 1

Left = move Left
Right = move Right
Up = Exit
Fire1 = Jump

Joypad 2

Fire1 = Select Wally
Fire2 = Select Wilma
Up = Select Tom
Left  = Select Dick
Right = Select Harry

Pause / unpause with console pause button.

Had a go at Joe Blade III on the GX, found it worked okay up till having to break a code on a door it warned me to get ready but no matter what I pressed it never actually started the puzzle.

No idea what's going on there, maybe a bad crack or a key needs to be pressed that hasn't been remapped.

Did you play the game in winape, if so, have you got a saved snapshot where the problem is?

siccoyote

Na I played it on the GX4000, could try it again but all my stuff is packed away at the moment.

norecess464

Thanks again for all those conversions. Yesterday my son (9) already played almost half of Arkanoid GX-4000 (ok ok, with infinite lives) for 1 hour. Great times seeing him having fun like that with the Amstrad console :)

Difficult, not impossible, but difficult conversions as those ones are stored on 2 sides. So need first to be patched to work on a single ROM before modify it to be playable with joypad on GX4000.

Here is another game for the GX4000.  ;D

Thanks to @Nich for the disk with Trainer.  8)

I know @siccoyote wanted this one.  ;)

PRISON RIOT

Press Joypad button 1 or 2 to start game.

Pause game with Joypad Button 2, unpause with Button 1.

You can redefine controls if you wish by pushing up on main menu.

iXien

Here are two asks for games I can't patch by myself :

SUPER CYCLE, one of the best moto racer on CPC, fast and with smooth gameplay.

PSYCHO PIGS UXB, a really underrated game, perfect on GX4000 with its 2 player mode.

These ones need patches (keys to control game menus, particularly PSYCHO PIGS with keys for 2d player and name entry on high score table with keyboard)

If someone is ok to convert PSYCHO PIGS, just tell me as I have prepared an alternate splashscreen to the original one that is horribly converted from Spectrum and I found a DSK without splashcreen that will be ideal to integrate a new one with a little bit of code  :P

Ooh nice one!

Glad you're happy with this one.  ;D

Just letting everyone know that has already downloaded it, that I've changed it and you need to re-download it.

BOULDER DASH 3

You now have a option to use 2 Players, 2 Joypads.

norecess464

LOL I never knew there were 3 BOULDER DASHes.. how does it compare to the original ?

@siccoyote you will be happy to know that Joe Blade 3 should work fine now.  ;D

This is a new version, thanks to @Nich for the disk with a Trainer.

@Urusergi and myself worked on this game, I remapped the controls and Urusergi found what the problem was and got it sorted out. 8)

The problem was the game requires you to press any key to start, and for that there's another keyboard routine.

JOE BLADE 3

The game is now Joypad only

Use Joypad 1 Button 2 to Pause, unpause with Joypad 1 Button 1

Use the following to select item when hacked into computer system.

1 = Button 1, 2 = Button 2, 3 = UP, 4 = Down

I've added a second cpr in the rar that gives infinite keys and disks too.  ;)

Urusergi

for the attention of Phantomz  8)

I've done a cpr conversion with the original screen, thanks to the help from @Urusergi who fixed the plus keyboard problem.  :)

@iXien

Interested in seeing your new screen.

iXien

What a good news!

My work on splashscreen was not initially destined to a GX-4000 version, just what I think would be the right Spectrum conversion. The original one is completely shrinked.

EDIT : 26/04 : All screens have been modified, wait and see the final result

@iXien

Nice work.  ;)

I could look at using one of these, are they ready to boot from a bas file on disk?

iXien

Sorry but no, the first ones are just PNG respecting the CPC limitations.

As I said, The first one is the easiest to convert, just 4 colors in mode1. The second one is a little bit hard as it needs multi-mode, all in mode1 but using different colors in the line of the title. The last one is a nice try in 320x200 but to be used on CPC+, someone confirmed in this exercise must first converts it to 160x200 in 16 colors using the 4096 color palette of the CPC+

So now we need this nice guy to convert one of those three pictures to BAS on a DSK  8) , isn't it?
