Just tested on real GX-4000, it perfectly works with the two joypads, poypad 1 for player 3 and joypad 2 for player 4 ;)
I have to find one poypad!!!  ;D

Quote from: VincentGR on 10:48, 15 November 20Another thing I noticed is that my carts are 512KB, is there any "switch" to make them smaller?
No switch but I don't use the latest version of Nocart to create my own CPR as this version always creates 512Kb files. I use Nocart 1.4 (available here : http://www.cpcwiki.eu/index.php/Nocart ) that is perfect for GX-4000 when you don't need 512Kb storage and creates 256Kb ROM files.

Many thanks to Konstantinos Katsoris for his involvment in modifying his game to be playable on GX-4000  ;)

Actually he didn't, it worked from the beginning as we discovered last night, LOL. (Joy was eventually working on main screen asking for any key)
I just change my boot.bas to skip the introduction after the loading screen and go directly to .bin.

Joy1 fire1: start the game.

Joy1 left:
left.
Joy1 right: right.
Joy1 up: up.
Joy1 down: down.
Joy1 fire1: fire.
Joy1 fire2: zap spell.
Pause button: pause. Joy1 fire1: unpause. Joy1 fire2: abort.

Joy1 fire1 or fire2 to skip hi-score.

With trainer: infinite lives, energy, keys & zaps (to use infinite zaps you have to get one at least).

After this I'm going to take a big break  ???

zeropolis79

Well earned break too. Thank you for everything you've done..

Great work ! Many thank for this one again. A very nice and ambitious game for our beloved GX-4000.

It's perfectly understandable. Many thanks for all the last patches you worked on. Even more very nice games are now available on GX-4000 thank to you and @Phantomz ! Take a good rest guys!  8)

Ok guys, have you seen that since the last full set update (from @remax if I make no mistake) in 2020-05-15 (Psycho Pigs UXB as last entry), two games have been updated (DONKEY KONG and NINJA MASSACRE), one official GX-4000 game received a very nice colour upgrade (SWITCHBLADE) and...

59 new games have been patched, mainly thanks to the great work of @Urusergi and @Phantomz

Well, 59 new games in 6 months, just INSANE8)

Quote from: Phantomz on 15:36, 13 November 20It's the same problem with " Navy Moves " on the GX4000 page, can't do Part 2 due to codes.

@Phantomz
Try the following, it should remove the access code for Navy moves

English Version

Find this string in &402
21 0B 03 11 B6 04 CD CC 6E

Change it to this
C3 CF 73 11 B6 04 CD CC 6E

Spanish Version
21 0B 03 11 B6 04 CD D2 6E
C3 D5 73 11 B6 .....

Don't forget all 3 " SPY Vs SPY " , have been redone by @Urusergi and myself, all games have a two player option now.  :D

Gosh, I counted them as new releases  :o  Because of that, we "only" have 56 new games !!!!  :P

Very good improvements for a famous games series on 8bits computers. And it's always nice to see new games with a multiplayer option on GX-4000. Because of its only gameport, CPC games rarely had a 2 players simultaneously option, and even more rarely with joystick for the second player. GX-4000 patches are a nice opportunity to correct that.

Wow!  :D , so full pack must be updated soon  ;)

iXien

@Phantomz
We have not to forget you also updated RESCUE ON FRACTALUS to invoke the demo mode. So for when the fullset list can be updated, here are the games already referenced needing an update:

Donkey Kong
Ninja Massacre
Rescue On Fractalus
Spy Vs Spy 1, 2 and 3

Btw, I think it could be a good idea to include a txt with the keys in every zipped file instead checking them in the list of the wiki.

It was the case long time ago when controls were not obvious. I have already downloaded all the archives of the games added since the last update. I will see I have can found time to add a little text file when there is specific controls or not so obvious keys (use of the joypad 2, Pause key that isn't used to pause game...). Then we will about updating the full set wiki page :)

While I'm finishing to prepare a bundle of the latest conversions with documentation for each one necessary, what about a list of all the multiplayer games you can now enjoy on your good old GX-4000? And another one referencing all the games that benefit of more upgrades on GX-4000 than key patches compared to the original games on CPC like a new splashscreen, "Plus" colors... (I don't list the features only available with 128Kb RAM)?

And there are still so many more to convert and upgrade!  :P

These lists are in TXT format, directly readable on your GX-4000 using the C4CPC interface. Don' hesitate to tell me if I forgotten some multiplayer games or games that offer new features on GX-4000  ;)

I'm preparing a bundle of the last 6 months conversions with instructions for each game when necessary and a XLS file containing all informations needed for the update of the CPC Wiki GX-4000 conversions page.

So I will include this version of The Abduction Of Oscar Z. Many thanks for this one  ;)

Don't forget to redefine keys because jump is on J1UP by default, and the game is hardly playable using a joypad if you don't use J1B2 to jump. In 2020, I think all new games on CPC should include the use of a second fire button if available, but this is only a personal opinion  8)

Thank you to people who appreciate my The Abduction of Oscar Z conversion.
That's why Redefine option stay easily accessible with Fire 2 on main menu.  ;D
Some like to play like this and some other not. And could change easily.
But I could change the default settings , and generate a V2 and drop jump on J1B2.

Like the last Saturday new release of Chevy Chase for GX4000 with CPC+ colors I made 2 versions , for exigeant people , isn't it Ixien.

@iXien

I did this game too, but didn't upload it yet, you might want this version too.

The Abduction of Oscar Z

Joypad Fire Button 1 or Button 2 to Skip Into

Joypad 1 Button 1 or UP to Jump.
Joypad 1 Button 2 for Action.
Console Pause Button to Quit Game.

@CyrilAmstrad

Not sure if you want to leave your version how it is or change it, I could change it, but will leave it for you to do if you wish.

I don't mind if your version gets added to the wiki page instead of mine as yours has instructions, can even add both to the rar.

Wait, wait... Have you already released your recolored version of Chevy Chase? I didn't see it!!! Where it is?  :P  I just posted a comment on your Youtube video!
And I'm not exigeant, I'm passionate (... ok yes, maybe a little bit exigeant)  :laugh:

Nice work !
IMO, @CyrilAmstrad version is already very nice. But @Phantomz version adds upgraded controls for Joypad, making this second one nicer for GX-4000 users. Do you want me to make a RAR file including the two CPRs with separate instructions or only the second one devoted to GX-4000?

Chevy Chase GX4000, converted by @CyrilAmstrad  :)
