Title: Dragons Lair I & II - mass storage modification
Post by: Joseman on 01:26, 13 January 17
Hi

As we are talking about some games doing KL INIT BACK to reactivate ROM 7 and  disable any mass storage, here is a clear example, Dragons Lair II.

I change in the main program a call #BCCE for a call #BCCB and voilá! it works on the M4!

if anyone wants to try it with ACMEDOS or Bonnydos, feel free to post the results, is important to prove that with a little modification some games can work straight on mass storage devices!

Thankyou!!

Did the unpatched version not work from B:? Because the 7 INIT should default to A:. This is also good news for 3.5" external drive as B: users  ;)

Great work and happy birthday !!!

Hi @KaosOverride (http://www.cpcwiki.eu/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=431)

I don't know if the unpatched version works only from A, i suppose that it worked that way, because with the m4, the game still was looking for the A: drive.

with the kl_rom_walk..., i think that this will default to A too, but with the m4 it works, because it inits the m4 rom too.

Thank you for the congratulation!
