Title: Dumping an Amstrad 3" disk to a PC
Post by: P5ychoFox on 19:16, 24 February 18
I have a rare Amstrad PCW 8256 game on 3" disc and would like to preserve the data on it. Very few copies of the game (Arnhem) must be in existence as I own the only copy known in PCW circles. The game seems to be copy protected and won't copy using Disckit or by using Pyradev+.

The best way would be to dump it using a set up involving a Kryoflux but this is something I can't afford at present.

Does anyone in travelling distance from Sheffield have a way to dump the contents of the 3" to PC so that I could share the game with PCW enthusiasts?

This is very good for conservation purposes and supports 3" drives, too

Kryoflux is indeed the way to go.

I have a working Kryoflux setup using a FDI-1 drive, so if you'll consider sending it to me for dumping, I'll pay registered shipping costs both ways.

I live in Sheffield but the best I can do is a DSK. Kryoflux would be best.
