I’m racking my brains thinking about an Amstrad type-in listing that was so big it ran across several magazine issues. But which mag? Was there once a big type-in in Amstrad Cent Pour Cent?

I don't know where you hail from, but I think there once was a giant CAD program for CP/M which spanned more than 1 issues of the german mag "Happy Computer" IIRC. I also believe it was written in Pascal, so the poor guys who actually typed it in had to copy the complete Pascal runtime as hex-codes :D It was MASSIVE.

EGS aka Elmar Krieger published some type-ins in your typical german CPC mags around the edge of the 80s to 90s. And he wrote some actual games published by some actual publishers.

And even myself, I published some listings and might start a flourishing career in the gaming industry if all of you and their dogs bought my mobile game :D

Maybe you're thinking of Axys: The Last Battle? It was published over five issues of CPC infos, and I even thought it was worthy of its own CPCWiki article. :)

CPC Infos specialised in publishing very long listings spanning more than one issue.
