Title: 1980s 8-Bit 3D Adventures with Freescape
Post by: ComSoft6128 on 13:58, 04 November 23
GEORGE BACHAELOR LOOKS AT FREESCAPE, ONE OF THE FIRST FILLED-POLYGON 3D GAMING ENGINES.

Interesting 2019 article from Paleotronic. com:

A very nice read, even though I didn't learn anything new.

Interestingly, ScummVM recently added support for some Freescape games, including amstrad versions :

It's rather odd that an article on Freescape, that specifically takes the time to mention the Graphic Adventure Creator*, doesn't even mention the 3D Construction Kit!

(*and I do wish people wouldn't keep trotting out the "over 117 titles" created with the GAC line, which I think is down to an old erroneous Wikipedia entry. It's well over 300. There are 340 different titles listed on CASA.)
