Reversing my previous question here's my two offerings:

1. ATF (464/6128)

2. Pang (Plus only)

So, have you any games that gave you a sense of anticipation when loading and followed thru with the gameplay?

Pretty much anything Dinamic did from circa 88-90

After The War, AMC and Satan spring to mind.

@Comsoft6128 - Are you doing some loading screen project and making us do your research for you?  ;)
Currently playing on: 2xCPC464, 1xCPC6128, 1x464Plus, 1x6128Plus, 2xGX4000. M4 board, ZMem 1MB and still forever playing Bruce Lee.
No cheats, snapshots or emulation. I play my games as they're intended to be played. What about you?

eto

My turn for a longer list. I like title screens that convey the theme of the game, and I had a green screen in the 80s, so I liked Mode 1 screens.

Sorcery (Cassette)
https://www.cpc-power.com/index.php?page=detail&num=1988
Absolutely fascinating back in the day how they managed to have an animated loading screen on cassette.

Saboteur II
https://www.cpc-power.com/index.php?page=detail&num=106
Yes, there's the complete map right in front of your eyes. Thank you very much! :)

Deflektor
https://www.cpc-power.com/index.php?page=detail&num=107
Simple but effective.

Feud
https://www.cpc-power.com/index.php?page=detail&num=867
It that you yourself or your enemy?

Glider Rider
https://www.cpc-power.com/index.php?page=detail&num=983
Contrary to Airwolf II, I like the screen and the game, even if it looks like a Speccy port.

Zynaps
https://www.cpc-power.com/index.php?page=detail&num=148

Xor
https://www.cpc-power.com/index.php?page=detail&num=8
Again, simple but effective.

Already mentioned:
Cybernoid II
https://www.cpc-power.com/index.php?page=detail&num=56

Renegade
https://www.cpc-power.com/index.php?page=detail&num=146
Target Renegade not so much, but it delivered nonetheless.

This would be the clear winner!

Right!  :D

But if you take ComSoft6128's current title literally: Did it disappoint? You might argue that the loading screen aptly indicates the quality of the game itself. So it fits right here. ;)

That's precisely why I changed it to shit games with shitty loading screens🙂

But, would you consider that a loading screen? I mean the game is loading while that is on the screen but it's text. Shouldn't it be a SCR with some art?
Right now I remember: Rainbow Islands, Dragon Ninja, and I don't know the games but Vindicators and Wanderers

Lemme insert some spam here  ;) I'm doing something with loading screens since a couple of years ago. https://www.cpcwiki.eu/forum/general-discussion/slideshows-on-tape/msg194463/#msg194463, I have done a lot more since I posted that, gotta update it.

Off to sarcasm 101 with you sir! You missed the humour in that post.

Oh believe me I didn't, it's hard to detect sarcasm without smileys in plain text though. But it was a legitimate question, just out of curiosity.

From a genuine question standpoint, then yeah, I would agree with you.
The Deathkick one certainly isn't the worst that I've seen. Some games just have a black screen while the game loads. So it does have that going for it.

Even if it isn't much...
