It's been driving me nuts.
It was an old Amstrad CPC 464 Game. The game was like a platformer with each screen being a different room. I think you started in a tower and the aim was to collect pieces to build a device - it's where I learned the word "jib" from. Can't remember what the device was. The music over the game was (I think) "London Bridge Is Falling Down". Your enemy was this one figure who would jump around and follow you between rooms - maybe he was the bomber, or maybe the police. I think the game was something to do with either setting off a bomb in London or stopping it. Not sure.
Anyone have any ideas?
? City Slickers?
It is indeed City Slicker

This has to be the game with the least incentive to complete ever. Dying is worthwhile in this just to see parliament get blown up (even if it is done really badly). Also the controls really suck.
The bloke who chases you is the terrorist.
I can just see GCHQ looking at this thread now , seeing all the words highlighted on there anti-terrorism PC's :D
Just giving the game a play at the moment , and it doesn't seem as bad as I remembered it, The character moves quite fluidly, I find it a bit annoying that you can trap yourself with no way of killing yourself to restart(unless I am missing something)
This is the game I was looking for. Thanks all. Must try and play it to revisit old memories.
One of the worst games Amstrad Action gave away on their covertape.. I got two screens into the game before giving up..
City Slicker was a shocker. Absolute rubbish. Bought a damaged copy for £1.99 when it was still a full price game. Thought I was getting a bargain. How wrong I was!
Has anyone got very far in this game?
Or was everyone so appalled by it, they switched off before getting anywhere ? Seems that may be the case, I remember me doing that at the time. Quite surprised as it was published by Hewson , cracking company imo.
