QuoteHexapucchu puts you in the shoes of a journalist on vacation in Peru.
While relaxing on the beach, you stumble upon a very ancient Incan artifact, until now buried beneath the sand.
This marks the beginning of an epic adventure that will lead you to explore forgotten temples, face age-old traps, and uncover a secret long buried by time itself.
Guided by your instincts and curiosity, you'll need to decipher mystical symbols, avoid deadly mechanisms, and confront a legend that could change everything we thought we knew about the Incan Empire.
The mechanics are simple, comparable to those of a "choose-your-own-adventure" book.

I played it, and it's really enjoyable! Pretty oldschool and hardcore (go swim... and die), but it's fun nonetheless. Very good graphics!

I'll try to finish it :).

QuoteHexapucchu goes international... 😛

Just a quick post to announce the development of an English-language version of the game. 🙂

At this stage, all the text has already been translated and integrated into the various BASIC programs.
All that's left is to modify all the text on the graphical screens (because it's hard-coded) and this English version will be complete!

Woohoo, I finished it! The whole ending stuff is pretty enjoyable, with a background story that is both funny and full of imagination (and of course, completely realistic  ;) ).
I admit I started it on a real CPC, but finished it on emulator because the numerous instant deaths + loading time were a bit bothersome. Maybe add a save- game in memory (no need to save on disk?), or present a file-version, now that we all have faster mass-memory hardware?

Congratulations for this very nice game @TITAN (Eric Cubizolle)!

Thank you very much for your kind words, Julien.

I'm glad you enjoyed my slightly offbeat little scenario.

Given the warm reception Hexapucchu received, I'm announcing that an English version is about to see the light of day. :)
A few friends and I are currently proofreading the translated texts. As soon as it's finished, I'll make this English version available! :)

In the meantime, the project's website has been greatly enhanced, including the jackets, instructions, floppy disk labels, etc., etc. :)

Thank you all for your kindness, which encourages me to continue on this path. :)

Remember that a Spanish version would be always greatly welcome also

Yes, I think I understand from what I've read on the various forums. ;)
And it flatters me as much as it pleases me! I'm truly amazed at the enthusiasm my little game is generating. :)

That said, translating Hexapucchu requires a lot of work, especially because the texts are divided into two categories: those present on the graphic screen in Mode 0 and those used for narration in Mode 1. Each category requires a different treatment. To summarize in a nutshell, the texts on the graphic screens must be constructed like graphics, letter by letter. And it's very tedious. :P

I'm already going to release the English version, which will be understandable to most people. We'll see about the Spanish version later, but I prefer not to make any promises, as I want to close the Hexapucchu chapter to focus on other Amstrad game projects I'm currently working on. ;)

The spanish cpc scene is one of the most numerous, and text/graphic adventures are the most requested. The possibility of a translation of your great game would be great news.
