Hi! Any recommendation on a site to host a webpage for a CPC prod, long term?
* github.com offers website and source code hosting, which is very nice, yet gets shun by some since it was bought by Microsoft
* gitlab.com also offers website and source code hosting, might get the same treatment as github one day or another?
* scene.org and friends (demozoo, pouet.net) feel "solidly" future-proof, are perfect for a demo or intro (I've put my 90-3D-stars-on-CPC-intro on https://demozoo.org/productions/294779/ ) but feels so focused on demos/intros as to feel unsuitable for retro games, and do they offer hosting for a web page?
* itch.io hosts games, with descriptions, a section on Amstrad CPC https://itch.io/search?q=amstrad+cpc . How good are vibes about there?
* generic host solutions (free webpage hosts), how future-proof are they? Not focused.
* own domain/server: could be future-proof as long as I'm alive and motivated, but not after that
* any other suggestions?

Of course, prods are already archived at https://cpcrulez.fr/ https://www.cpc-power.com/ (and some others?).
So what's the point of a website for the prod?
Well, a nicely presented summary, with some screenshots.

Hmm, so answering my own questions it might make sense to just say:
1. short term, whatever hosting is good enough hosting, put there texts, images, even videos if you want
2. long term, the community already takes care
3. problem solved.

Any feedback on any part of this welcome. What do you think?
Had a CPC since 1985, currently software dev professional, including embedded systems.

I made in 2013 the first CPC cross-dev environment that auto-installs C compiler and tools: cpc-dev-tool-chain: a portable toolchain for C/ASM development targetting CPC, later forked into CPCTelera.

Another solution, you send me a html page and I host it on genesis8bit if you are interested.

Thanks @genesis8 for your suggestion. I guess I'll do that, and more.

Indeed, a possible solution would be to prepare a self-contained set of files with permission to rehost wherever you want.

Thinking about it, that's what I did for "2021 a space Odyssey", visible at https://gourichon.org/cpcitor/pub/prods/2021/2021_shadow-party__cpcitor__2021_a_cpc_odyssey.zip

Besides disc image, tape image and audio file, I put there a .nfo file in restructuredtext markup, and a HTML file generated from it, along with PNG screenshots.

That way all initiatives that aim at preserving the CPC memory can pick either the text-only of the HTML version.

I use itch.io for my PC games and various other things - I think it'd be best there, for longevity, and an easy portal to receive donations (if you want that)
