It looks like you managed to fix the shaking on the sides of the screen that was happening during the mulit directonal scrolling?

Thanks. Yeah, now it's configurable in options screen, scroll type S (slow with shake) or F (fast with no shake). The video shows Fast type. which one do you like the most?  :D

I like S (slow with shake). It's a lot smoother and feels different from any other CPC football game which is great. Also - the speed is perfect.


The F scroll - though faster (and also nice), it has a sort of push scrolling feel to it which makes you susceptible to losing sight of your players and the ball.

The one title I've bought from them was an extremely basic production, not really compared to other publishers' quality and not really worth it at the price.

Now we're talking. Though I wouldn't mind a simple jewel-case release with better production quality AND reasonable shipping (I think I paid £10 for the privilege, thereby inflating the real price of the game by a good £7, probably).

Hi friends, Bitmapsoft told me that they were going to do something special (special box i guess), but i don't have any data yet, they working on this.


The only thing i can tell you is that the physical version will come with the national teams (20 teams) with fake names (to avoid copyright problems).


The price i don't know yet.


Several weeks later, i will release the full version with all teams (six leagues 120 teams) and real names, for free.

How are you getting on with the AI for the cpu players? I'm guessing that the goal keeper is going to be the most complicated along with the ball physics?

I use 2 different AI for players. One for active players (near the ball, 4 players) and one for inactive players (rest of players). The inactive ones are simply placed around the field depending on the selected tactic and where the ball is (linear interpolation over rect zone). Active players have a small decision tree (not very complex) depending on who has the ball and what zone of the field they are in. The really complex has been the AI of the goalkeepers, i tried to make it very difficult to score a goal (without becoming impossible).

Physics of the ball are very simplified. Only apply acceleration in 3 axis, negative and decrease acceleration when hit with something (restitution). Decrease when ball is on floor (fricction). And apply a little random when hit some player (players aren´t plane) and bounce can go in any direction. I have assumed that posts are round and ball can bounce horizontally in any direction.
