Hey all! I have a slight problem, and if anyone can help it'd be super.
I am having difficulty in getting the default joystick option to work  :(
In the instructions for Army Moves it states joystick fire 2 (primary) and fire 1 are used but I am having no luck in using the fire 1 function, its like the game does not recognise it even in key redefine mode its not having it - any ideas?

Joseman

mmmmm

I've played Army Moves through the years, great game, however it seems that the "Z" signal of the joystick is'nt read by the keyboard routine... you can use the joystick 2 port if you have the adapter (or you made it), this way it works.

Lazy Dude

sussed it! it seems i have a commodore as it says default fire button is spacebar! dammit all these years and i thought i had an amstrad ;-)

Or you can use the old trick of redefining the keys with the joystick buttons and use the only joystick fire for the two fires the game support, making the game easier :P

Joseman

yes, like i said, you can redefine the 2 fires on the same button, that makes it easy, but it is' nt pro that way :p

Jajaja, then the 16 bits and the c64 versions, the ones made by Ocean, are not pro at all, because they only use one fire button and you can fire both missiles.

Of course, the CPC pro mode can be fixed, adding support for the joystick second firebutton, it should be an easy and painless thing for people learning assembly ;)

mmm i wonder who are you talking about :P

well for a simple problem, i am liking the replies. good news is i fitted a patch panel to my setup so i can configure my arcade buttons to do anything! redefine is easy, it was really about what the default setup was for the game. bit of an omission in the original instructions i think.

I'm practically sure that in the spanish instruction manual appears the keys.
