pretty sure this was a loricels or inforgrammes game but all the versions I have found as .dsk images are in French was there an English verison?

"Les passagers du vent" (The passengers of the wind) ... I only see it in french.
Take a look on cpcpower, may be you will find it in english. but, I doubt.

I have Passengers on the Wind (the English version) on both cassette and disc, but I can't transfer the original disc correctly.

I haven't tried to transfer the cassettes yet as the game is very large (there are two cassettes)!

I have also seen a copy of the English version of the sequel on cassette.

As for Iron Lord, I have never seen an English version of this game. I recall reading that a mail order company was planning to distribute an English translation, but I don't know if this ever happened.

I highly suggest you to contact breiztiger, the most active dumper for CPC-POWER.
I have sent him originals protected (like DISCOLOGY 5.1) and he done a really fast and great job to add it on the base and return the floppies.
That will be a nice help for the community, if you can do that!!!

I think Iron Lord was covered in a AA issue in a feature called French Invasion or something, saying they would translate it; but I've never seen it.

Hope something comes out of the Passengers disk - Nich, please do send it!!!

Loïc Daneels has bought the game for his Gamebase project so hopefully he will send the disc to Dlfrsilver (another active dumper) once he receives it.

I remember that article they sent one of their reporters to France and he was in a Hyper Market with loads of games for the CPC we never saw in the UK

I'M the most active dumper of CPC-power

i have dumped 1126 games alone / breiztiger only 341 games

and i add that he mostly replace CPDREAD dumps by SAMDISK dumps with a few titles we don't have here and there

add to that that CNGSOFT helps me for each tape with special scheme, and that i'm the guy with the best way on the net
to dump tapes, and there you are

(Breiztiger knows how to do because i explained him the tricks)

i'm Loic Daneels dumper, and i dump each time for him huge batches of games (each time 80 titles on either tape and disk)

i do that for him since 2006, something like that.
