Just a quick info: ae there differences between Microprose Soccer played with a 464 and a 6128?

Are there extras with 128k?

No, both are lame speccy ports.

;D

Joke appart...

According to CPCpower :
QuoteLes CPC ayant 128K pourront bénéficier d'écrans différents.
128k = different screens.
???

Don't know, I used to play it on my CPC6128 at the time (yep, speccy ported yet decent gameplay... erf... monocolour anyway...).

So I can't tell you.

perhaps just try it on emulator both in 64k and 128k setting.

Yes there are a few significant differences.

Firstly the title screen is improved with music and I think the ability to save and load settings and progress.
There may be some extra options too.

Secondly I'm not 100% sure but I think instant replays are missing in the 64k version.

Yes AA reviewed the 128k version of Microprose Soccer in Issue 45 which was a soccer special and with that review that has this in a small box in the corner!

QuoteAA game warning

Microprose Soccer comes in a limited form for
464 and 664 machines. The version reviewed
here was the 6128 game, and the 64k edition
carries fewer options to allow the game to
maximise the potential of each machine. 464
and 664 owners miss out on the league or cup
options for both outdoor and indoor football.

I'm not sure the 64k version of the game was ever reviewed, so they probably felt the 128k version was more superior.
Having said all that there are probably better soccer games which run in 64k like the Emlyn Hughes Interational soccer which was the Mastergame in that issue, Kick Off 1 & 2 (particularly Kick Off 2) also comes to mind and World Cup Soccer - Italia '90 & Italy 1990, Italy 1990 has some additional 128k bits to it as well, though I think their only sounds.
* Using the old Amstrad Languages :D   * with the Firmware :P
* I also like to problem solve code in BASIC :)   * And type-in Type-Ins! :D

Of course for parties Match Day II was da sh!t, but I loved Italy 1990 indeed. Bold, nice gfx. 5-a-side was quite nice for a budget title :)
