Hello,
i get a original "Reisende im Wind 2" Disc from ´Sync´at the Xzentrix Meeting last Weekend.
Today i tried to get this Disc to my PC. (There is only a TapeCracked Version on the Net).
But i cant get it to work.
The other thing is, that the Disk have some marks from bad storaging.
I tried the CPCBooster with the ARKOS Tools, but failed on the Copyprotection.
Are there any ideas.
Thanks fo help
Tolkin
Is it on a 3.5in or 3in disk?
Bryce.
Use Xexor/Discology on CPC to copy it to 3.5" disc then use CPCDiskXP on the PC?
Hy,
it is the original 3" Disc.
I will try Xexor (never used it), Discology copy the Disc, but the copy is not working.
Hy, so i tried Xexor getting the game to a 3,5" drive.
But ist not working.
It loads and crashes on the first Episode when the "Cross" (the pointer for selecting) is shown.
On the Orginal disk ist loads fine.
Maybe a read error which the orginal loader can ignore, and after copying it makes Trouble.
"Schade"
I will try Crime or sth. maybe it works.
Thanks

Many Infogrames games use a form of protection which involves storing data in the gaps between sectors, and this data can't be copied on a CPC. With luck, it should be possible to find a way to bypass the protection check; I have succeeded in doing this in the past with a couple of games that use this protection.
Hy, only have an old winXP Notebook with Floppy, no easy way to connect a 3" Drive.

Thats sounds no good :(

Well, you don't like to hear that. But it seems that you have to connect a 3" floppy disc to a PC with FDC controller and read a DSK at the PC side.
I hoped to skip this.
No old PC with compatible FDC here :(
Then it will take its time to get this running.
Thanks

I have all the kit here. And if you post me the disk I can try to DSK it with CPCDiskXP.
