Hey all,

Can anyone point me in the direction of any games which pre-dated Dizzy's mix of platforming and inventory-based puzzling? Or did it quietly invent a genre all by itself?

The Wally Week series:
Pyjamarama
Everyone's a Wally
Herbert's dummy run
Three weeks in paradise

Jack the Nipper (1986)

Awesome, guys. I was aware of these games but never having played them, I didn't realize they were in the same vein as Dizzy. Much obliged to you.

I always found Pyjamarama a little difficult to get into.
Everyone's a Wally was very difficult to solve, but a lot of fun to play.
I remember finding Herbert's Dummy Run pretty easy to solve back in the day, but I played it recently and had no idea what to do!
Three Weeks in Paradise is superb. Beautiful graphics, and an absolute joy to play.
