yes ... "
Quotetook the same character as Paleto Jones because I thought it would be fun to have a sort of recurring mascot for the Mananuk games. Kind of like a Nintendo Mario ...

"The young ghost hunter Jack Slimer has been hired to end a ghost pest in the Sandy Candy sweet factory"

The problem is that he's NOT the same character. Also, one thing is to have the same character and another is to copy&paste the graphics. That's laziness.

Carnivius

Yeah that's weird.  Plus the in-game sprite is clearly wearing the brown Real Ghostbusters Peter Venkman type suit from the original loading screen.  Also did Titan ask Mananuk if it was ok to override Jack Slimer with Paleto?  And also, how does Paleto now have a regular human proportioned body in that green-suited loading screen image when he has a chibi or child-like body in the actual Paleto game loading screen? He still has the big child-like head... looks weird. Did Paleto somehow get his head transplanted onto someone else's body? :O
Favorite CPC games: Count Duckula 3, Oh Mummy Returns, RoboCop Resurrection, Tankbusters Afterlife

The original image may not be the most virtuosic, but it matches the rest of the game's art.

The new image is like the pictures that would end up on the covers of budget games: not bad as an image, but no resemblance to the content of the game.

That's a trade-off when skills are limited to converting other peoples' images.

Brundij

The only thing I can think of is that Titan doesn't know how to draw. Because that head and body disproportion is too obvious to let go. But it's also difficult to believe since all his images looks so clean.

In the other hand, we shouldn't be too harsh. Even when people did get a life doing games for 8 bit computers things like this happened. Wakelin was a well known and reputed artist, and literally copied (instead of taking the images as reference) from comic book covers and photos to make his own covers. Luis Royo, author of the famous Game Over cover, reused illustration that were covers of comic books for videogame covers. Good for him since he charged twice for the same illustration :D

It's just as well R. Crumb never saw the cover of WizKid. Arnold Schwarzenegger also starred in a lot of video games he never knew about.

TITAN (Eric Cubizolle)

Hi everyone ! :)

I don't come through here very often and I apologize for that.

Since I see that my screens give birth to love and benevolence (Abalore: "That's laziness", Rexbeng: "skills are limited to converting other peoples' images", Brundij: "Titan doesn't know how to draw" , etc. :D), I said to myself that in view of so much kindness and indulgence it would be relevant to indicate the link to my web page which lists all my screens. :D

It's here: https://amstradmuseum.emu-france.info/Fichiers/Projets/PixelArt_TITAN_CPC/PixelArt_TITAN_CPC.html

With love. :D

And a little early... Merry Christmas to all! ;D
