Hi folks,
I have revised BDCK from Happy Computer magazine once again  8)

Today a new official successor was released: https://www.boulder-dash.com/deluxe/

So I though it was a good idea to remove lots of bugs from BDCK.You can find old versions at cpc-power.com. Maybe I'll upload the new version once I know it's stable. In theory it should supersede all prior versions.

The most challenging part was to allow to edit the levels from BD2 (Hack) and BD3. Had to fix the caves format.  :o It's really fun to see how a level is build step by step (DEL and TAB, TAB, TAB...)

I avoided "Boulder Dash Construction Kit" in the headline, but that's the name the magazine chose to generate some confusion  ;D

The disk also contains Boulder Dash itself. So you can play BD1, BD2 (the hack) and BD3. All levels are unlocked, so you can test any bonus life you want

UPDATE 1.2.3: Added another fan cave

pmeier

I have updated my distribution.
Just some notes on the fan BD distributions by hackers:

Boulder Dash 2 (F): 16 new levels, but the 4 bonus levels are the same as in BD1
Boulder Dash 2 (UK): One new level, all other are the same as in BD1
Boulder Dash 4: These are just the default levels from official Boulder Dash Construction Kit with a cracktro
Boulder Dash 6: These are just the BD3 levels, but with the default graphics scheme from BD1. (BD 3 has a space theme) and to fool you completely somebody has added official Boulder Dash Construction Kit to the disk, with which obviously these caves weren't made.

For example, the one level BD2 (UK) hack has made its way to archive.org and maintains to be the official BD2 release.

IMHO Delete them all from the archives.
If you think somebody is going to miss them: I have added them all to my BDCK (Happy Computer) distribution.
Of course the removal isn't going to happen (unfortunately), but I guess the hacks cause a lot of confusion.
