First game I saw on my CPC.
I was disappointed cause I used to play on the arcades but amazed with the music track.

AMSDOS

I guess from what I was doing in that screenshot, you wouldn't get away with it in the arcade version. :D

I personally *** LOVED *** Ghost'n'Goblins AMSTRAD CPC version (I was 8 ). This, with few other games like Bomb Jack, Commando and such.. actually introduced me to gaming.

Took years before I knew about arcade/console version and their superiority.

Glad this was finally fixed with Amstrad Plus versionS!

My current project is Sonic GX, a remake of Sonic the Hedgehog for the awesome Amstrad GX-4000 game console!

You mean when you hit the grave?

AMSDOS

So what I had to do to get into that position was I had to Jump on top of the 1st Grave to allow the Scroll to occur (it won't happen if your Knight walks upto the 1st Grave, so only 1 Zombie comes up), and then Jump down without the Scroll and then Couch and go Zombie Blasting without anything coming up from Behind, double the amont of Zombies means more points and you can just do that forever as my accumulated amount of points shows. I was just playing around with it in CPC Box the Online Emulator, no sound unfortunately, but I'm sure you can do that.

I just thought that would be funny that if the arcade version were like that, it's an easy way of scoring heaps of points, but assume the arcade version won't give that opportunity to do that like the CPC version has.

I think all games you played on Arcade first disappointed on the CPC.
For me it was Bubble Bobble.
Biggest CPC disappointment of my life. That's just one big sad depression.
But luckily that also finally got fixed in recent years.  :)

Yes, not only for the specific one.
It took me days to accept it  ;D

One time I played 1943 first at the Arcades, but thought it holds up well on the CPC, though feel free to point out what's missing in the CPC version, I'd guess it just lacked extra levels from the Arcade version.

I also remember watching Arkanoid and Flying Shark in arcade. Amazing memories. I remember comparing with CPC versions. I wrote "watching" because of course, it was so expensive for just 3-4 minutes of gameplay ;-) (newbies die fast in those games :) )

Yes, in the arcade version there's a spot on the cave level where you can stay safe and kill a repeatedly spawning zombie over and over for massive amounts of points. Time will run out, but you will have usually accumulated 2 new bonus lives during that.
