Anyone know if FM 2 Expansion Kit will work on emulation ?

I have downloaded the FM 2 expansion Kit file from cpc power.

loaded it up through winape and been able to use the features of the FM 2 Expansion Kit eg change team, colours, divisions, skills, etc etc etc but cant actually seem to play a game of it ?

It it only able to play a game with original disk and original machine ??

anyone with ideas ??

I think that program is just a save game editor, so you'll need to load it into FM2 original once you are done editing.

Thanks to MiguelSky, I have been testing the expansion kit as well. Unfortunately it only works with one particular version of FM2.

There are two English disc versions of FM2 on CPC-POWER. One of them is compatible with the expansion kit; the other is not. The version that is compatible is the one with the Speedlock protection (weak sectors).

The reason for this is that FM2 saves part of the program code as well as the game data, and as the program code isn't stored at exactly the same location in the various versions of FM2, FM2 or the expansion kit will crash if you try to load game data from the 'wrong' version.
