What a great idea! Wish someone with the necessary skill would do something like that!

lynwen

Love it! Think I just might do one. How cool am I ?  8)

TFM

Yeah! But don't use a speccy port 8)

Manu

Maybe it'd a cool idea to show a mix of the latest games for the machine (R-Type, Bubble Bobble, Teodoro, Edge Grinder,...) and some of the classics (Dan Dare III, Rick Dangerous, Avenger, Chase HQ,...)  8)

Gryzor

Actually this would be a good idea for the 30 year anniversary!

Was the spectrum released before or after the amstrad?

TFM

Looking at it's technology it must have been before. Later on they (the company) were bought by Amstrad.

ZX Spectrum: 23 April 1982
CPC 363: 1984

Amstrad bought Sinclair mid-'86 IIRC??

What's this? CPC363, a new discovered top secret model, must be worth far more than a C65 as this is a model no-one else seems to have ever mentioned before. ;D
Would be great if we could find one and write it up in the Wiki, 8)

steve

The calendar could have twelve really sexy images of CPCs :P , or you could have a desk diary with 365 pictures in it ;D , or 2 diaries, one featuring hardware and one featuring software with each page also having a bit of related information.
Whoever did this would surely become a millionaire  .

Gryzor

Heheh, yeah, the 363 was an aborted prototype with 32k and a sort of an optional microdrive interface.  Thank god it didn't see the light of day.

Will you pose for the calendar? :)

But yeah, I'd buy a few myself...

Bryce

Wouldn't that have been a CPC332 ?

Bryce.

Gryzor

They hadn't settled on the naming conventions just yet :)

lynwen

Any action going on with this?

My intention is there but the time is not.

Gryzor

I'm no artist unfortunately...

EgoTrip

Something rough I knocked up, not amazing and I can do a much better one for 2014

Gryzor

These are so lovely :) I'd suggest including scanlines or maybe PAL emulation?

Thanks - great work!!!

lynwen

Thats awesome! You getting it printed??

EgoTrip

Nah that costs money, but anyone is free to print it themselves

Munchausen

Love it! I'd print/use it if there was space to write stuff on the days... maybe I'll do some editing...

I was looking for a calendar recently, even though it's a bit late in the year. I found these:

The Nerd Dreams Calender 2013  - one for Gryzor and Bryce perhaps?

Retro Game Calendar 2013 - 24h shipping

I quite like the second one. Don't think either of them feature the CPC though :(

beaker

huh, there were computers in that first link???  :P I kinda got lost in the videos section  ;D

Wow, they're both great, though the second one needed sexier photos if you ask me. Although April is near I may buy the first one...
