Since we don't have a DiscMag section I post it here:

Call for articles for FutureView V:

You can write what you want. You can insult, you can tell dirty stories, you can publish everything what you want. And you can use an unknown pseudo for that.

Or course you can also publish everything CPC related and you can use your own pseudo.

Further you can post me advertisements for your new software or hardware - text of 17 KB screen (320x200 or 256x256, MODEs: 0-3),

Just post me something!!!  :) :) :)

Please send it in English or German. If you're not speaking English, then send me the original copy and a try of a translation.

FutureView V will be published in Spanish, French, English and German.

Please sent articles, pictures, sounds, insults to futuresoft at gmx (.) de

Oh, and if you have a personal FutureOS version, then you can also send a PM to other users.  8)

We do have a General Discussion section though ;)

Any chance FutureView V will also be available in an Amsdos version? And that it will have background music too?
Do you need music for your Amstrad CPC game project?
Take a look at IndieGameMusic.com - that's where I put my tracks.

WoW! The forum looks totally different now!

Err... yes, of course it will have background music too. And your song is very well appreciated!  :)

For Amsdos people there is still the possibility to use an Emulator (putting FutureOS ROMs in take less than a minute only), in case someone has no X-MEM, MegaFlash, FlashGordon, SF2, EPROM card, RamCard or RRB. The reason is that I want to implement a feature, which I developed before the internet was big. It's the DiscNet and it's a network based on disc exchange. Of course it became obsolete after people hat intenet/emails. It allows you to post to a single person or group of people. The recipient is selected by the personal FutureOS ID. So if you have a PM / email for somebody just tell me the pseudo of this person and he/she will get the message. Of course only people with personal ID can participate. Now you say that's really really obsolete. And - yes - it is! But just for the fun of it I would like to pick up this idea.  :)

Any other ideas are welcome!

Sure. Can't be done with amsdos / firmware anyway.

No, sorry, it can't be done with Amsdos. And I don't have time to rewrite everything, because Amsdos provides no memory management, no advanced file loading and data handling.
Prodatron pointed that out in better words for the Arkanoid clone for SymbOS. It's a similar situation here. Of course an Amsdos version could be done when putting lots of effort in and adding part of FutureOS to the DiscMag application code. But where is the gain? Everybody can use FutureOS - at least on an emulator.

The gain is, that you'll reach those who do not wish to use FutureOS.

But I get it, if it's too much work.

Well, everybody is free to do or use what he/she wants. I don't mind about them not using it.

There will always be people who dislike some kind of OS (FutureOS, CP/M, Contiki, SymbOS, Amsdos or what ever else). One can't make it right for everybody.

Also I don't think that we lack software for Amsdos.

And honestly I prefer more doing something for people who like to use FutureOS.  :)

I can understand that, since FutureOS is your creation.

I have a similar preference, preferring to make/support things for Amsdos.  ;)

Well, good luck with the project.

Ok, after the obligatory discussions back to topic!

You like DiscMags, or you at least like to read em? You got something to say?

In all this cases and all others too YOU really should send me some text or picture for FutureView V.  :)
