Hello from Italy

Hi everyone!
I'm from Italy and my main passion is MSX System computers(although i own other system such as commodore's and speccy), Amstrad was something i always wanted to try, so i  recently  purchased an CPC 464,
very nice machine, the only issue a found is that the recorder doesn't load anything(i bouth some amsoft cassettes).
CTRL+ Return (message to press PLAY....), but nothing will be found, the tape goes on till the end.

Maybe the azimuth needs adjusting, not super easy to do without the relevant tape unfortunately...

Hi, and welcome to the CPCWiki!

It may be worth to check the cables from the tape drive to the motherboard for broken/loose cables or dry solder joints.

Ok, yes it must to be checked and repaired, surely the communication between tape recorder and the board is faulty.
