Title: CPC ringtones?
Post by: Gryzor on 19:01, 08 November 09
Hello guys,

Was just wondering if anyone has any CPC tunes (or other chiptunes for that matter) converted to ringtones... Would be nice to have some available to download :)

Its reasonably easy to do for the iphone or any phone that can use mp3s as ringtones.  Only issue with the iPhone is that ringtones only last 30 seconds at a time.

Just fire up an emulator that can save audio, then convert to mp3 and cut it to 30 seconds. then you import into  itunes and rename the file as needed.

Made a c64 Wizball ringtone which sounds fab!

You can use your CPC as ringtone!
How?
Simple:
Disassemble your phone,
open the accu,
check out, where the "buzzer" is in.
Detach the buzzer, solder 2 cables on it (aprox. 1-2m)
Connect the cables to your phone, where the buzzer was connected,
Attach the buzzer to your CRT Tube of your CTM.
Wait until someone calls you,
You will hear the glass of your monitor ringing :D

Nah, that's not really CPC-specific, it would work with any old tube...
