Hey guys.
Just thought i'd keep everyone posted, regarding TACGR, the front end for NVG.

Had a word with Dave Wykes, who maintains it. Basically, he's locked out of the server's admin account, so he hasn't been able to update the thing for years. He sent a mail last July to emuunlim admins, but the mails kept bouncing back, so his hands were tied in that respect.

He still has the entire site backed up locally, but finding a server that won't be violating the terms and conditions seems to be a pain in the ass.

He's emailed them again today, so hopefully we might have some news either just before,or just after the new year. It's been going since 1995, so it would be a shame to see it conk out or rot after all this time. :)
Currently playing on: 2xCPC464, 1xCPC6128, 1x464Plus, 1x6128Plus, 2xGX4000. M4 board, ZMem 1MB and still forever playing Bruce Lee.
No cheats, snapshots or emulation. I play my games as they're intended to be played. What about you?

I can give him an FTP account + subdomain tacgr.cpc-live.com + MySQL database if he likes...

Sean sending me the link in Skype and it being one of many open tabs in Firefox doesn't mean i'm actually reading it

I need to see if i get a response from ZTNet but i think i should take you up on your offer either way Markus as Emuunlim is really dormant as far as i can tell (even compared to how TACGR appears!)  lots of links to subdomains that have long since left.

Ideally i'd still like to get access so i can stick redirects to a new host but i guess Google etc will take care of working out which domain should be higher up the search results anyway :)

And i know i need to review my code as it was written in PHP 3 originally so no doubt PHP5 broke some of it, and if not then it'll still be horribly ugly and out of date :)

I'm on the verge of crying due to the fact that David still cannot spell my name after 17 years :(

It really depends. ;)
Seán is technically Irish for John. However Shaun (with Shawn being the American) is the English spelling of the name, and doesn't have an Irish translation.

It's a nitpicky technicality, but a technicality nonetheless. ;)

I know, but me being both Irish AND a nitpicker, I just had to mention it :)

What was the topic about?

Ohhh yes, I see now.

Well, the CPCWiki server is warm and cuddly too, should the need arise. At your disposal :)
