I am not sure, although I do not think so. I found this link http://retrogamer.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=33579&p=833729&hilit=amstrad#p833729
and then I remembered the documentary about the takeover of Sinclair. I assume this has been aired in the UK

hi

i am wondering if you are on about this tv documentary / drama program called micro men, it is on for 1 hour 24 minutes  here it is on youtube

Affectionately comic drama about the British home computer boom of the early 1980s.
Legendary inventor Clive Sinclair battles it out with ex-employee Chris Curry, founder of Acorn Computers, for dominance in the fledgling market.
The rivalry comes to a head when the BBC announce their Computer Literacy Project, with the stated aim of putting a micro in every school in Britain. When Acorn wins the contract, Sinclair is furious, and determines to outsell the BBC Micro with his ZX Spectrum computer
]Home computing arrives in Britain in a big way, but is the country big enough for both men

i love this film to the fact that i got it

hope this helps

=Electric Dreams (the movie) : oily sheesh... I think I remember this one... saw it when child.

Is this the story of a Geek who has a "top notch domotic system managed by a computer that has OS issues" that fall in love with his Girlfriend ?

="Micromen" is a "drama" on the battle between Sinclair and Acorn, but it effectively end with Allan Suger bu(ll)ying Sinclair.
I wish they did such Drama entirely focused on the Amstrad computers era though.

=is it possible to find the "Electric Dreams (TV series)" for the 80's available on youtube ?

Gryzor

No, I wrote a post about Electric Dreams a few months back. Basically they took a family and let them "live" in a different decade (60s through 90s I think) for a week, changing their house and gadgets, clothes and whatnot. Really lovely, makes you go all misty.

Micro Men was good, but not that good...

But neither was about Sinclair's takeover by Amstrad!

remax

I remember of this post.

I saw the whole thing on Youtube.

Thanks for the help folks, I was looking for something like MicroMen but with the Amstrad /Sinclair takeover. I must have dreamt it.

Is the one I have included below just a play or something, I thought it was a documentary:

This fantastic piece chronicles a little known dinner meeting between Sir Clive and Alan Sugar in 1986 that would lead to Amstrad buying out the Sinclair trademark and our beloved Spectrum. £6.00 a ticket and with only 35 seats available, It played to rave reviews in July and is, for true connoisseurs of retro gaming just not to be missed
