If we had an app for Android that could play CDT files, then we wouldn't have to convert CDT to WAV.
We could just playback the CDT file from the phone, connect the audio output to a tape-adapter, and we're off!  :)

This would save conversion time and space on the phone, also if it could support rewinding the tape, browsing the index and all that... ;D

Yes, save time and space. It could be very useful for those who uses tapes. Of course, that's probably not many of us though.

Theoretically it should be quite possible to make such an app for Android phones, and even J2ME phones too. HTML5/Javascript might also be possible, not sure though.

Sadly I'm sure we're all booked with tons of daily life already. I know I am. I could probably do it, but I just don't have the time.

So how about it? Anyone out there up for it?  :)

Marcus has the Java source for CDT2WAV to those who's interested.

That *would* be nice. I'd probably use it just to listen to the skreeches for my own amusement, but still, seriously cool.
