A couple of years back I bought a batch of old 3 inch disks, to my surprise I recognised the hand writing on them.....mine.......so I fired up the 6128 and found to my amazement my old dissertation files still there on one of them, some pathetic attempts at using OCP Art Studio pictures on another the rest were blank.
I had given these discs away in the mid 90s to a friend and they must have done the rounds and all still worked.
This a small small word ;D
I was about to say that's quite amazing; then I remembered I have about 11 disks that I bought at a car boot sale and never touched because I only needed 1 & they were sold as a batch. I wonder if something similar happened with you.
My funniest Amstrad moment would be when a guy sent me a bunch of disks to copy onto PC for him (they were full of old Protext files of 2000AD comic scripts he'd written in the late 80's, as I recall). My disk drive packed up the day the disks arrived, and started working again the day after I returned his disks to him. I still don't know what happened.
