My electronic copy of AmtixCPC issue 12 arrived in my inbox today. Sadly being the last copy I'm thinking about what to read next.. what physical (or digital pdf) publications are you reading, what do you recommend? And what are the chances of AmtixCPC or Amstrad Addict annuals showing up in the future?

I don't know about the future issues of AmtixCPC or Amstrad Addict (great publications btw!).

I got some fun in the last 2 years in revisiting some old books/magazines. Some content may be outdated, but even with that, many of them may bring you a great nostalgia feeling!

I do enjoy the mix of old and modern content.

My current project is Sonic GX, a remake of Sonic the Hedgehog for the awesome Amstrad GX-4000 game console!

I got some AA and all the ACU magazines neatly organized in magazine binders. I enjoy browsing them once or twite a month.
Being 50+, the pain with the actual magazines is that you need to use glasses and lots of lighting

I didn't know AmtixCPC was ending, what a shame :(

Ah, there's a post in their patreon, but only for patrons; a patron shared with me "...this is the last issue, so hope you have enjoyed the magazine over the last few years.".

So not much anyway :D
Released The Return of Traxtor, Golden Tail, Magica, The Dawn of Kernel, Kitsune`s Curse, Brick Rick, Hyperdrive and The Heart of Salamanderland for the CPC.

If you like my games and want to show some appreciation, you can always buy me a coffee.

I believe it was only ever intended to be limited to 12 issues, although I would have thought they might have continued if there was enough interest. They have recently started Spectrum Next and Sega magazines so they are doing okay. AmtixCPC finishing seems a bit of a shame for us, I'm now looking for something else that can replace it!

Same here, I enjoy the old magazines as well as new ones. I find it interesting the read reviews retrospectively and readers' letters always interest me for some reason. I recently picked up some old copies of WACCI which I never subscribed to at the time but I'm finding quite interesting.

If text adventures are your thing (and I see from visiting your site that you wrote several of them back in the day!), I can thoroughly recommend The Classic Adventurer. 11 issues have been released so far, but I don't know if the editor, Mark Hardisty, plans to publish any more of them. They're available in digital and physical editions, although the physical editions are fairly expensive - but worth it in my opinion!

I couldn't help myself and just ordered deluxe editions of #1 and the LotR special  :picard:

Skunkfish

I only read my own fanzine (Colour Personal Computing), so as not to influence my writing with the styles of others....

That's not actually true.
An expanding array of hardware available at www.cpcstore.co.uk (and issue 4 of CPC Fanzine!)

I haven't seen any new issues for a while, are there plans for more?

I've not seen this before, from what I can see it looks like a nice publication. Is there a PDF edition?

I'm not sure, I have the physical editions and they are very high quality and come with extras like posters, stickers, booklets etc.  I can recommend them.
