Lucky Phil

Hello to everyone at CPCWiki... I'm a new member from Adelaide, South Australia. I love all things retro computing, and look forward to accessing some SERIOUS CPC nostalgia here!
Why simply embrace the future of technology when you can also indulge in the past...?

Hello Lucky Phil,

Adelaide, South Australia as well here. You should get along to the monthly Vintage Computer nights on Glen Osmond Road, just outside the city. I'm regularly there with my Amstrads, though I'll be missing the next 2. The next one is on the 13th of May, the day before my wedding & I've been told NO by my fiancée. I think the next month is happening while I'm on my honeymoon in Japan.

Have you been involved in the SA Amstrad scene? We used to have the Amstrad User Club, which eventually devolved into a PC users club. I can remember calling the chairman of the club & being asked "Why are you still using that old thing? If you want to use a CPC just get an emulator". That wasn't exactly the response I was looking for... I forget why I was calling them...

Anyway, welcome aboard!

LOL I've never seen that one before (being that it's a VIC commercial).
I always thought the "It's lucky Phil" quote was something HHIS created, not taken from an ad!
