Hello from Germany,
recently I got a bit into RetroComputing, trying out what the CPC could have done in the 80s as compared to today (mainly fractal mathematics-related).
I am re-learning BASIC and how to code with memory limitations and global scope, writing my own text adventures.
I still have the CPC464 (bought from a friend in the 90s), but mainly using an emulator nowadays for programming (makes testing code easier in faster-than-original speed).
Two of my favourite games back then were Thorr 1 (a German text adventure) and, of course, Elite, but never exceeded "Dangerous" level (German translated from "Gefaehrlich").

Many people here are not among the youngest anymore, so stay tuned until you receive the full wave of welcomes. ;)
Whether you are here to stay, or passing through on your way to parts unknown - welcome to City 17. It's safer here [TM]
Welcome and have fun here 8)
Welcome!
Welcome to the forum, Glad to hear you're having fun with the old CPC!
I took a second look at locomotive basic a few years back, and was surprised by how much the old CPC basic could do, so I'm sure you're making great progress with the adventure games!... and of course, modern emulators help loads!
All the best,
Keith
Welcome here! Looking forward to see what you come up with 🙂
Hello "brother". Also greetings from germany to germany!
I have signed up here recently and still have to relearn some englisch-language-skills.
Welcome!
Tach auch!
I am wondering what city everyone here hails from? I am from Cologne.
Nähe München
Welcome Marc! :) :) :)
Die nächstliegende größere Stadt bei mir ist Freiburg oder auch Stuttgart.
Und deshalb können wir uns alle auf der XzentriX treffen, die ist ziemlich nahe an München, und das Meeting ist noch jedesmal super gewesen. :) :) :)
It's one thing having some fun in one's language, but for a discussion in German maybe we should move it?

There was no discussion, just people saying where they are from and one comment, where to meet in September. I guess the German part is now finished.
