I recently purchased a CPC 464 from eBay with the dreaded green screen monitor, but I am loving it! I've always fancied having a dabble with the CPC as my brother had a C64 when I was younger, and i always liked the look of the Amstrad. I ended up getting a scart adapter from eBay too so i could connect it to a colour TV.
Was a bit dirty and many of the keys didn't work when I received it but after a tear down and good clean its working perfectly! I have been using WinTZX to load games via car cassette adapter and loaded Prince of Persia tonight, such a great game!

I still remember the first time I plugged it in and flicked the switch, 34(!) years ago...
Heheh, yes, the green monitor may sound a bit strange to others, but I think it's got tons of charm - and not because that was the first machine for me, too (like @ervin (http://www.cpcwiki.eu/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=82) ,34 years ago... flicking the switch - I remember it very well, because I thought I had broken the thing: I didn't know there are two switches :D ).
