Hello!
I'm new here and I thought it would be a good idea to introduce myself.  ;D
I'm 44 (45 soon) and I live in France.
I never had a CPC computer when I was young (I had a Nintendo NES, and later a SNES) but I knew several people who had one. So I remember I played a little with a 464 with cassette at my neighbor's... Actually I remember more about waiting for the tape to load than really playing... I remember we played a submarine simulation on it, probably Silent Service but I'm not sure (are there other submarine simulation games?), and I remember a shooting game (Operation Wolf I guess), and a Ghostbusters game (probably Ghostbusters II).
Then I played at my older sisters' who both had a 6128. These were great times! I remember spending whole afternoons with my nephews and nieces (yes, I have nephews and nieces nearly the same age as me) trying dozens and dozens of games they had on copied floppy disks. The game we used to play again and again was Bomb Jack, that was the best game we found in that huge pile of floppy disks, a really fun game! I remember Macadam Bumper and Gryzor too, this one was nice but difficult, especially when playing with a keyboard only...
Much later, when I met my future wife, I noticed her father had an old computer and I asked to try it. That's how I discovered the 6128 Plus and its cartridges. His father finally gave me this CPC last year as he doesn't use it anymore and because he knows I love those old machines. I also received a M4 Board a few days ago, I'm still in the process of discovering it right now, and what a great device! I came here to discover more about it actually.  :)
What else... Oh yes, I also have a GX4000 console that I found a few years ago for cheap, but I only have Burnin' Rubber on it.

Welcome and thanks for your story!

Could the sub sim be Blue War? I think that one was pretty well spread...

Thanks!
The submarine game my neighbor had might be Blue War, but honestly I can't remember...  ::) That was around 1990, and we were 12 or 13. I just remember the game was on a tape, and we didn't play it much because it was different from the platformers and action games we used to play on the NES and it was difficult to understand how to play it (again, we were around 12 years old)  ;D
But thank you for telling me, I'll give it a try if it works on the M4! Maybe it will remind me something. ;)
