Hi peeps, I had a CPC 6128 with a color monitor back in the day, one of many computers I was lucky enough to own and I think for the shortest length of time but it certainly left an impression.
The other computers I had (in order) are Spectrum 48K (borrowed from the neighbour), BBC Model B, Commodore 64, Amstrad CPC 6128, Amiga 500, Amiga 1200
I now own about 35+ machines. What started off as just wanting to collect those I had as a kid soon escalated.
Thought I'd get that out of the way :)
Anyways, I loved the Amstrad and I managed to persuade my mum to buy it after seeing a friend's 464. We spent a lot of time playing games but alone, I was more interested in programming.
Locomotive BASIC is right up there with BBC BASIC - both an absolute dream to use.
Welcome, Zeb! :D
Welcome! I went 464, 6128, Amiga 500, Amiga 1200 myself.
Is it me or was the entire Gauntlet collection on the CPC the best ever conversion???
Welcome! :)
Welcome aboard! Stick around, it's fun here!
As for Gauntlet... 1 and 2, maybe... 3 is something best forgotten though

Locomotive BASIC is nice. I haven't used BBC BASIC though understand it includes Procedures which Locomotive BASIC lacks, I've tried translating a Maze Algorithm from BBC BASIC (which I will admit is from BBC BASIC for Windows, however surely if it's BBC BASIC it must have to work on the original computer?) to Locomotive BASIC, though it eludes me. However I can show if you're interested.
Welcome, locomotive basic is fantastic.
