Problem with the forum search on this site

It looks irrelevant.      For example, I've just searched for a word "yagol" and got 30 links - no one contains word yagol.

Just tried search for CPCTRANS, which I know IS there.

Got about 20 results, not found one incl word CPCTRANS.   Seemed to be VERY old postings??

Nothing new, the search function here was always crap. It displays very old posts and usually barely related. Maybe the usage of wild-cards can help, but honestly I guess the search function is running on an emulated 6502.

Yup, that's what I do too. It's not the CPCWiki's fault, it's the Wiki software that's crap at searching. The Search button (beside "Downloads" button) is somehow better than the Search field on the page, but still crap.
