I owned a lesser sized (but just as ugly) Amstrad HiFi back in the day, and a Schneider TV...

Those were more 'uninspired' then 'ugly' I think... When was that?

And this critical review of the Amstrad CKX100 keyboard is also worth looking at.

"It is of little use to those who can play, and for those who cannot it is likely to prevent them ever learning. Perhaps the best thing that can be said is that the CKX100 makes a better present for an 11 year old than a box of Transformers. But Yamaha and Casio are better still."
